Surfing legend Mick Fanning has famously embraced the odd risk or two, and the breezy refresh of his light-filled beachfront home on Queensland’s Gold Coast was no exception. In 2022, he and his fiancée Breeana handed the keys to Three Birds Renovations and left them to elevate the dune-top dwelling from shack to chic.
But it was a calculated risk. Having done their research, Breeana and Mick fell in love with the laidback coastal aesthetic of Three Birds and its principals, Bonnie Hindmarsh, Lana Taylor and Erin Cayless.
