is famously the most expensive TV show ever made. Whether there’s a degree of marketing hyperbole to that claim or not, it certainly looks like you on its prosthetic nose budget alone. Then again, with Peter Jackson’s movie trilogy to live up to, it was never going to get away with doing things cheaply.
