Looking at the selection of colour swatches in front of me, there was only one shade I wanted.
Fuchsia, magenta, calamine or rose – it just had to be pink.
‘Brian,’ I called to my husband. ‘What do you think?’
Looking at the pink palette, Brian, 42, rolled his eyes.
‘I’m not sure I like it,’ he said.
I understand that many men would probably feel emasculated by pink décor.
How can I convince him?
‘It’s pale red,’ I told him.
I had been convincing him to ditch the feature walls, and orderly, neutral décor since we met in 2008.
When we moved in together in 2009, I had even turned his spare room into a pretty lilac dressing room.
