FORD ESCORT RS2000 (1973-1980)

The original RS2000 adopted Ford’s recently introduced ‘Pinto’ engine, making 100bhp at a lower rpm and on a lower compression ratio than the highly-strung 115bhp RS1600 with its 16-valve BDA unit. This made it both more affordable and more practical as a road car, whilst still looking the part.
