Cut back hellebores

Cut all last season’s hellebore foliage back to ground level now to reveal new flower stems and to keep the blotchy fungal disease hellebore leaf spot at bay. Make sure all the foliage is put in your domestic green waste bin. Fungal spores on the foliage are able to survive the home composting process.

1 HOLD the leaves steady then cut the stem down as low to the base as possible, taking care not to damage emerging flower stems.
