We’re always impressed by Colorado-based System76 and its contributions to Linux. Not only does it make glorious hardware and a fine desktop environment, it’s also put in a lot of effort tweaking behind-the-scenes kernel settings. This work has culminated in the System76 Scheduler service, which tweaks the kernel’s CFS (Completely Fair Scheduler) settings for lower latency when on AC power.
