NOTES
Pattern is worked using the amigurumi method, working in a continuous spiral without closing off each round with a ss. You may find it helpful to mark the first st of the round, moving the marker up as you work. Each part is made separately and joined together at the end.
If you are making this toy for a child under 36 months, do not use safety eyes or buttons; instead, embroider eyes and buttons with black stranded cotton.
You can substitute any 4ply yarn for this pattern.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), 8dc in loop. [8 sts]
Round 2 2dc in each dc around. [16 sts]
Round 3 (Dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc) 8 times. [24 sts]
Round 4 (Dc in next 2 dc, 2dc in next dc) 8 times. [32 sts]
Round 5 (Dc in next 3 dc, 2dc in next dc) 8 times. [40 sts]
