TYSELEY-based Vintage Trains has acquired its second main-line certified diesel with the purchase of No. 37240 from Boden Rail Engineering. It joins No. D1755 (47773), which is used primarily as a support loco on steam charters, in the fleet. The purchase of the ‘37’ will, says Vintage Trains, enable it to expand its main line operations and provide more resilience.
Currently painted in 1990s Transrail grey, No. 37240 is expected to arrive at Tyseley from Boden Rail’s Nottingham Eastcroft depot in the coming weeks.
