Lily Parr

s the standout player in the great women's team of the post-WWI era, Lily Parr was one of the best players of her generation. Her Dick, Kerr Ladies side was one of the mostwatched of the women's teams of the age, even representing England in games overseas. Parr started playing aged 15 and was known for her powerful striking ability and, even though the FA banned women from playing football in 1921, Parr played on, scoring an estimated 1,000 goals in a 30-year career.
