November has been a strange month in the UK. At the time of writing, not a single monarch has died, nor a prime minister resigned. The pound hasn’t plummeted and, although there remains a gaping black hole in the nation’s finances, the markets have calmed down.
In short, there has been no major catastrophe thus far, no political or constitutional crisis. And the absence of
