Vale Heath Buckley

As I am sure you are aware, there has been a popular Facebook group titled Fans of Australian MotorCycle News – AMCN that has over 3500 followers. This page started 13 years ago in 2009, and was present before AMCN itself had its own Facebook page.

The page was started by a friend of mine, Heath Buckley, who was a huge fan of AMCN, Fred Gassit and the Australian GP at Phillip Island – in fact, anything motorcycle related. He started it in the belief AMCN needed a Facebook page and I understand he is still the page’s only admin.

Unfortunately, while recently out on a motorcycle ride, Heath had an incident with a car. He did not make the ride home.

Heath had continued to monitor and post via the Fans of AMCN page until his passing, and posted regular updates while on his pilgrimage to the Island a few weeks ago.

Heath read every issue, and I used to get ecstatic messages via Facebook every time one of his comments got published,
