Your family photos

This photograph was amongst my grandfather’s photos that were kept in an old shoe box and were passed to me several years ago: my grandfather died in 1971. There is nothing written on the back of the photo and I have no idea where it was taken, although my family all hail from the Banffshire area of Scotland. Unfortunately none of my relatives has been able to identify these children: my father (died 2013) had no idea who they were and neither does his youngest brother recognise them.
