Thanks to an invite from Transport for NSW, I spent two hours on a Wednesday taking part in an ‘End of queue’ webinar with the Transport for NSW Newell Highway Overtaking Lane Alliance. I was one of only two or three industry people involved in a group of 40, but they did say they were all there to listen from those on the road. One of my early questions was, “What industry consultation was done at the start and if not, why not?”. I was told, yes, we do agree now, there was not enough and it should have been done.
