So far we have discussed quite a few things which can help you increase your catches when starting out as sea angler. After reading the previous three parts you will probably be left with a couple of questions: Should we hold the rod in our hands? What do we use for bait? What do I take with me to the shore?

I would like to start with what to take with you when fishing, as it is often a thorn in my side! For a beginner sea angler this is actually not that much. Do yourself a favour and don’t take more than is needed. This way the trip through the dunes and over the beach will remain a nice walk with a bit of luggage, doable for just about everybody. Those who cross the dunes and beach every time with a mountain of (unnecessary) gear will sooner or later start to resent trudging to their marks like a sweating packhorse. You do not have to minimize, just limit yourself to what is actually necessary.
