Gene McKeen (aka Mother) has always been fascinated by engines of all types. So much so that in 1966, he established Mothers Speed Parlor in Springfield, Missouri. His first hot rod was a 1927 Ford Model T roadster with an Oldsmobile engine. One can only imagine the power-to-weight ratio of that combination. As his career flourished, he realized he needed a hobby to keep him busy in his spare time, so he began collecting and restoring John Deere tractors of all shapes and sizes.
