. Moser & Cie. has had a bumper crop of new releases this year. To explain what the brand does best, which is wearable haute horlogerie, we start with the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton unveiled at Watches and Wonders. Taking something as complicated as the tourbillon, Moser raised the chronometric performance bar further by fitting it with an invention from the 18th century — a cylindrical hairspring. As a result, friction on the balance pivots is reduced and isochronism improved in combination with the variable motion of the tourbillon.
