I myself have long been a cellphone skeptic and was once even a bit of a hater, but my stance on cellphones has softened over the years. In the early 2000s, when basically the only thing that cellphones could do was make calls, I hated them even more. It just seemed like anywhere you went, the world had suddenly exploded with ding-dongs who were constantly talking on their phones, and the louder and more inane the conversation, the better.
However, as phones became smarter and smarter, people made fewer and fewer calls, and I even began to like cellphones. They were basically like small, portable computers, and I had to admit that they were pretty handy.
