'I been writing for most of my life. In my younger years, I tried a few times to get a foot on the publishing ‘ Ihave ‘ Ihaveladder but it led nowhere – but as I have later learned, I had gone about the whole process in the wrong way by submitting directly to publishers with an unfinished novel. I know now that most publishers will not accept submissions unless it is through an agent and I needed to finish the novel first.
