Feed the birds

From impermeable ice to barren hedgerows, winter can be a challenging season for birds, with food scarce. At the same time, their energy is at its most precious. ‘Robins, for example, can use up to 10 percent of their body weight just keeping warm,’ explains Anna Feeney from the RSPB.
