“In 2016 I achieved a dream by winning the Nürburgring 24 Hours as part of the Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon GT3 entry. It was thehave a replacement made – although my trophy wasn’t the only casualty. After the race Mercedes wanted to take our GT3 car on tour, so it was coated in a lacquer to preserve the dirt and battle scars. But on a hot day in Italy the lacquer melted and destroyed the original stickers and paint! Nothing lasts forever, but somebody once said to me, ‘The greatest memorabilia you can have are the memories of having done it in the first place!’”
