The fairy-tale of CHATEAU DE LA MOTTE HUSSON

Château de la Motte Husson is a French castle that was built in the historicism style and is located in the small royal borough of Martigné-sur-Mayenne. From the 1100s to the 1300s, a small fortress was located here. The current building was constructed between 1868 and 1874 and so it’s relatively new, compared to many other French castles. Today, the castle is owned by Dick and Angel Strawbridge who bought it back in 2015. Since then, many of us have enjoyed watching the couple in the TV series "Escape to the Chateau" where we’ve been able to join the family as they renovated and rebuilt the castle and did all kinds of other creative projects.
