How do you go about building an OSSA for someone like Mick Andrews? After all the lad is responsible for there actually being an OSSA trials bike in the first place. Well, this was the task before Martin Rickman at IdleRide when he was asked to build just such a bike. Now Mick Andrews is a genial sort of lad but he does know what he wants and, after a lifetime as a development rider in the off-road motorcycle world, is incredibly knowledgeable about how a bike should work and feel. Martin’s answer was to take a long hard look at the OSSA and what had been successful with the marque over the years and ask Mick himself for his input – and the result is this stunning-looking machine. It combines all of the best bits from the MAR – Mick Andrews Replica – and the later Gripper models in one package with a few other bits and pieces from more modern times to produce a machine fit for a champion. The colour scheme is a take on the first OSSA models used by Mick before he slimmed the machine down a little. The OSSA was introduced to the public at February’s Show where it was on IdleRide’s stand and creating quite a
