They must have been travelling a fair bit faster than we were because the tale involved the other chap hurtling through a crossroads at speed and disappearing through a hedge.

While mulling over which words to use and in what particular order (to badly paraphrase Eric Morecambe in the awesome sketch with Andre Previn) for this particular CDB column, it crossed my mind that occasionally the same story gets retold.
