In the cut and thrust of an MX it’s possible for a chain to come off and tangle up with the sprocket, which not only stops progress – very quickly – as everything locks up but can cause all sorts of damage to expensive castings. Equally it is possible for a boot to join the mix and at worst ruin said boot. What to do, though? Try not to have the chain come off is one answer but
