Hot Chocolate’s “No Doubt About It” was a big hit in 1980; released on the RAK label, it spent 11 weeks in the UK singles chart, reaching number two, and went on to success in many other countries as well. The band, led by singer Errol Brown, had enjoyed a string of hits – but nothing quite like this one. The song told the story of a UFO sighting; hardly a common subject for a pop single in the 1980s, or at any other time for that matter.
