Every now and then, a game’s title has you reaching for the dictionary, wondering whether it’s a real word or a neologism cooked up by the marketing team. This is one of those cases – so what, exactly, does ‘superfuse’ mean? As producer Paul Wilson explains it: “It’s a medical term for fusing parts together, putting them together in a way that maybe they’re not supposed to be”. It’s not immediately obvious how this might apply to Superfuse, the action RPG.
Wilson offers one explanation: it’s how the game itself is being made. Behind is a team of 30, centred on a Dutch studio with one previous release to its name:. This puts it at a disadvantage to its genre competition. “It’s going to be held up to ; it’s going to be compared to , ” Wilson says. “We love those games. Those games are awesome.” But they’ve also got the backing of Activision and Tencent.
