The Long Game was introduced as a way to talk about the games that aren’t simply one and done: those that keep us on the hook with updates, patches, expansions and more. We’ve deviated from the original mandate to coverafter all, was conceived as one of the former: an online free-to-play game made to last for years. As it turned out, it barely lasted 12 months – yet thanks to the combined efforts of director Dylan Cuthbert and indefatigable support from its original playerbase, it’s back in the form of with peer-to-peer online play and an offline mode ensuring it will live on even when the servers are switched off.
