Having informed the look, feel and sound of almost the entire Id output, heavy metal is surely the native musical genre of the firstperson brings music and metal closer together than ever. The game’s concept art appears to have been lifted from the design on a T-shirt – a world of red skies, pointy architecture and horned skulls marked with sigils, where you play the demon girlfriend of Troy Baker’s narrator, determined to rescue him from hell. Doing so involves blasting through demon after demon in a manner that takes its cues from Id’s most recent output. Fights play out in huge arenas, with health recouped by pushing in for melee finishers.
