One of the most celebrated wildlife artists of the, Ladybird books and a raft of nature guides. Final pictures can make many thousands of pounds, but Tunnicliffe's sketches and practice artworks are a more affordable option. In the 1950s and 1960s he did hundreds of ‘fancy pigeon’ paintings showcasing rare and prized breeds, visiting countless fine breeder collections and agricultural events to seek out award-winning breeds for his studies.
