Broadcasting from the Hotel de Ville in Calais, northern France, the BBC– commemorates the 100th anniversary of the first telegraph sent from England to France, and features commentary from Richard Dimbleby (pictured). The feat, two months in the planning, is achieved with five temporary radio-link stations set up along a 95-mile route from Calais to London.
