While many decorators revel in creatively changing displays to mark each season, Christmastime often brings extra motivation to bestow spaces with the most joyful trappings—complete with a dash of shimmer for good measure. Holiday celebrations, from brunches to cookie swaps to gift exchanges, make the end of the year a delight for hosts. “A lot of the times, this is the only time people get together,” says Country Sampler stylist Carolynn Geesaman. “So, they want to add even more of a festive vibe. When things look fun, it just sets the mood.”
