Greek divers discovered the 335 feet deep in thewent down on July 5, 1941, after being hit by two torpedoes fired by a British submarine, HMS Only six of 48 crew members survived, swimming to the nearby island of Delos. The wreck was discovered in November by a team led by Greek diver Kostas Thoctarides, who has now located and identified four sunken submarines.
