Sooner or later, putting artwork onto cards and other products crosses the mind of any dedicated artist, and if it doesn't, someone close to you may well suggest it. The huge variety of options available to achieve this can be daunting, however, and my route down this path has been eventful. I have learned some valuable lessons that I would like to share with you.

Preparing the ground

Understanding why you wish your artwork to feature on products is important. Hand-painted cards as unique gifts for close family and friends sit at one end of a long scale, with the mass generation of multiple printed products to be sold at, hopefully, a profit, sitting at the other.
