LONE WOLFF

Matthew Wolff is tipped for the top. At just 23, he’s already shown an uncanny ability to produce his best golf when it matters most. He’s strong, athletic, powerful and super-confident. He’s also that guy with the unorthodox swing. There’s no denying it – it’s unique, quite literally loopy. Is it effective? Absolutely. It gets a lot of attention, but this doesn’t bother Wolff. This is someone who simply loves doing things his own way.

In July 2019 at the 3M Open, in just his third start as a professional, a 20-year-old Wolff showed everyone that there’s more than one way to swing a golf club and be successful. It may have taken a stroke of magic with the putter on the 72nd hole, where he rattled home a 25-footer for eagle to get the job done, but this was a victory for the unconventional swing. Clearly it doesn’t need to look textbook, something many of us should probably take comfort
