few know Matthew Wolff — and his swing — better than George Gankas, who has coached him since he was just 13 years old. But while Wolff might be Gankas’ star pupil, he’s far from the only one among a long and devoted line of followers of the 50-year-old swing guru, whose rise in teaching circles has been as meteoric as it has been unorthodox. His unusual approach, board-shorts-and-flat-brim style and “bro” and “dude” greetings have certainly been met with raised brows from more traditional circles.

But it’s hard to argue with success — Gankas also counts young talents Sung Kang and Johnny Ruiz among his growing legion that includes countless more on YouTube and Instagram.
