‘Oregon isn’t just the little brother of California but with less heat,’ explained Jean-Nicolas Méo. ‘WeAt their UK importer Berry Bros & Rudd, they were showing some new releases from the 2019 vintage –a ‘cool, even cold’ year, which made the wines much leaner compared to previous vintages, but still with the hallmark Nicolas-Jay freshness. ‘It’s a vintage that could change your mind if you think Oregon is all about New World ripeness,’ added Méo.
