Theresults of this Barbaresco panel tasting were impressive, with 46 wines (just over half) scoring 90 points or above. It was dominated by the consistently attractive and newly released 2019 vintage, represented by 54 wines. These balanced, fruity and structured wines are accessible in their youth but, in most cases, should also age well. This is in line with recent trends in the region, where even Barolos are now being made in a less demanding and dense style so that consumers are no longer obliged to cellar these wines for a decade or more.
