LOCAL HEROES

I live in a small rural village outside Chester and play in a covers band locally. Our last gig was for a small beer festival, raising money for the local primary school in the village community centre. We had a crowd of 200-plus and ended the night with calls for an encore, happy punters and great feedback.

There are a number of similar villages nearby, each with their own band, playing to a local crowd for their own particular good causes. Our band, The Warning Flower, formed around eight years ago when a bunch of parents got together to ‘do it ourselves’ when the fundraising ball could not afford to hire someone to play.
