LENSES TO HOLD ON TO

It’s good to expect the unexpected but, as a photographer, preparing for every eventuality can often mean venturing out with a huge, heavy backpack stuffed full of camera bodies, lenses and accessories. To prevent yourself from being weighed down by your kit, a single body and attached lens can often make the going much easier. For landscape photography, that means you will be able to trek further, climb higher and navigate terrain that would be impassable with a heavy load of kit and a tripod to boot.

The same applies to street shooting in urban locations. Whether you’re on foot or on public transport, using a single camera and lens makes life a whole lot simpler and you’re less likely to attract the attention of security guards. If you plan on shooting inside museums, cathedrals or galleries, you may find using a tripod is prohibited.
