Glass infill extension
This listed property came with various structural issues — one of the main problems being that the front of the house was pulling away from the back. Paul Archer Design was appointed to handle the design for the renovation and extension, and a structural engineer designed a steel bracket to knit the structure back together. “The brickwork was literally floating,” says architect Richard Gill. “The structure was reinforced and tied to the existing stud partition to stop it from falling off.”
