n 1/24 scale, amongst the former Atlas Editions magazine partwork Citroen Collection models, originally sold in newsagents in France and now on general release here, is a 1930 Citroen Autochenille P17 “De La Croisière Jaune” . In order to promote the company’s products and durability, Citroen made a series of expeditions across tough terrain in vehicles fitted with Roadless tracks. First was the trans-Saharan expedition in 1922-23, then the “Croisière Noire” in Africa in 1924-25, and finally the “Croisière Jaune” in Asia in 1931-32.
