SHIP SPOTTING IN SOUTH DEVON

The south coast of Devon has long been a destination for holidaymakers, with the resorts of Exmouth, Dawlish, Teignmouth and Tor Bay being popular during the summer. For the shipping enthusiast the area has plenty to offer, from classic paddle steamers to some of the largest ships in the world. The maritime history of the area is presented in various museums, as well as by preserved vessels. For those that like to be on the water there are regular ferry services across Tor Bay and the rivers Exe, Teign and Dart, as well as numerous pleasure cruises.
