‘I couldn’t believe it had gone so well’

Look at me on the opening night of Aspects of with a glass of champagne, the chaos of my dressing room and all my emotions etched on my face! It was April 1989 at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London, and I was flooded with relief and exhilaration. I couldn’t believe it had gone so well. At 26 years old I was the star of a new hit musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
