A NEW Forest pony proved a shining example of the breed’s versatility on the flat and over fences, culminating in a coveted London International ticket, the open Heritage worker tricolour and the show’s New Horizon Plastics £1,000 overall Heritage supreme title.
Vikki Smith had Penny Sutton’s attractive blue roan working stallion Lovelyhill Folklore (George) right on song throughout the weekend, oozing presence, quality, athleticism and breed type.
A fascinating mix of big winners and talented newcomers lined up for the 11-strong final supreme, which brought this highly successful show to a close.
“This pony was a standout winner for me,” enthused supreme judge David Ingle. “He is correct and performed an uphill, light and accurate show. He’s a lovely free-moving pony and the partnership was a joy to watch.”
