THE walls of the house are freshly painted and the garden is well kept. A cat lounges on the front lawn and two dogs watch the goings-on up and down the street from behind a closed gate. Doors and windows are firmly shut and passers-by could be forgiven for thinking the family has just popped out and will be back any minute.
But the community of Kuils River in Cape Town, know better. Everyone is still in shock about the events that played out recently behind the walls of the seemingly peaceful house on Ou Nooiensfontein Street.
“House of horrors”, the locals are calling it.
The braai fires of Heritage Day had barely gone out when
