Set a basic palette using titanium white, burnt umber, French ultramarine, cadmium red, Apply paint in a vigorous and energetic manner, without considering the eventual outcome. Look to convey the mood and emotion through texture and tonal variation and condense colour as and where applicable. If highlights are required in the painting, these can be added towards the end to enhance or lift visual impact.
