LETTER OF THE WEEK

Vero

I thought Nigel Atherton’s article in Viewpoint (6 September) was directly on point. Instagram has, in the view of many photographers, lost its way and is no longer the choice of many to interact with fellow photographers. He expressed a wish for a different platform and considered that there is no serious challenger to Instagram for stills photography.

I beg to differ. Vero has been attracting photographers of all genres and is a superb platform where users can actually choose who to follow and what appears in their feeds. Photographs of any aspect ratio can be included, no adverts, plus there’s the ability to zoom in on any photograph to explore detail.
