THE LONG GAME

I remember pitching up at Overtone park way back in September 2001 for the very first Edition 38. Up until that point, the main water-cooled VW UK show had been GTI International, but that event had become a little bit long in the tooth over the years and was beginning the become more of a commercial show and less enthusiast lead. Edition 38, on the other hand, promised be be something different, an event created more for the people - the home-grown car builders.

The show itself was the brainchild of a group of regular PVW feature car builders that had attended a number of the big mainland European events and decided it was time the UK Dubbers could sample something similar.
