The Lordenshaws Estate, on the eastern edge of the Northumberland National Park, famous for its Iron Age hillforts, Bronze Age burial mounds and intriguing ancient ‘cup and ring’ rock art, is situated above the historic market town of Rothbury. The estate is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting up-and-coming pheasant and partridge shoots in the north of England. Managed by JM Osborne, the sister company of William Powell Sporting, the estate is made up of a 2,000-acre grouse moor and 2,800 acres of low ground, which benefits from a variety of deep gills, mature woodlands and a sloping topography running up to the heather moorland – perfect for presenting exceptionally challenging pheasants and partridges.
