Guessing the price of game

Do you think game dealers are going to pay more for pheasants and partridges this coming season because fewer birds have been put down?
It is hard to say. You would think a shortage of birds would mean a higher price, but if wages, energy bills and the price of fuel are up, and the country enters a recession, the dealers are going to struggle to increase the price of the end product and convince the consumer to pay more.
